I have to admit, I hated when the uniform policy was enforced in Philly. I mean, from a child’s perspective, you are happy because you were getting new clothes for school, but from a parent’s perspective you just needed new clothes for the fall and winter, the fact that school started around the same time just made things easier. So now, as a parent, I have to buy uniforms AND fall and winter clothes. Sucks if you ask me. But I do agree about the name brands and all. As far as my excitement to have them back in school…commercial number 2 says it all!!! I think I was the first there at orientation night–front row and all!

The second commercial says it all for me. and he rarely gets punished.. lucky kid!! My son is bright as a whip, but stays in trouble. I work from my home office, so that 2nd commercial is on point. I heart back to school and my baby boy.

Two of the schools here just went to dress codes and I hope they all go! The codes are enough to allow expression without the foolish that occurs now.

I’m glad the kids are back in school…just hate dealing with the crowds when I have to go pick up my niece or nephew from school.
